A cuboidal vessel is 12 cm long and 8 cm wide. How high should it be made so that it may hold 480 cubic centimetre of a liquid?

Given length vessel, L=12 cm
Width of vessel, B=8 cm
Let, height of the vessel be H.
Given, volume V=480 cm3
Volume of cuboid =LBH
LBH=480 cm3
h=48012×8 cm=5 cm
Hence, the vessel should be 5 cm high.
