Let x g be the weight of Al in the mixture.
Then, weight of Zn =(1.67−x) g.
Sum of equivalents of metals will be equal to the equivalents of hydrogen gas. (xEq.wt.ofAl+(1.67−x)Eq.wt.ofZn)=eq. of H2 or, x9+1.67−x32.7=1.6911.2(Eq.wt.of Al=279 and Zn=65.42,forH2=22.42=11.2) ∴x=1.24g
