A rectangular vessel 22 cm by 16 cm by 14 cm is full of water. If the total water is poured into an empty cylindrical vessel of radius 8 cm, find the height of water In the cylindrical vessel.
Length of rectangular vessel (l)=22 cm.
Breadth (b)=16 cm.
and height (h)=14 cm.
∴ Volume of vessel =lbh
=22×16×14cm3=4928cm3
Volume of water in the cylindrical vessel =4928cm3
Radius (r)=8 cm.
Let height of water in the vessel =h
∴πr2h=4928
⇒227×8×8×h=4928
⇒h=4928×722×8×8⇒h=24.5
Hence height of water =24.5 cm
