Producers → Primary consumers → Secondary consumers → Tertiary consumers → Decomposers


Herbivorous animals which feed on producers are the primary consumers e.g. grasshoppers, rabbits etc.
Secondary consumers eat primary consumers. They are carnivores (meat-eaters) and omnivores (animals that eat both animals and plants), e.g. snake, seal etc.
Animals who feed on secondary consumers are the tertiary consumers e.g. hawk, tiger etc.
All the plants and animals, when dead, are decomposed by decomposers e.g. bacteria and fungi.
