Parthenocarpy is a process that can be natural or induced artificially in plants so as to produce fruits without fertilization of the ovules, and as such the fruits produced resemble the normal fruits but are seedless. Banana, grapes, watermelon and pear are some of the commonly occurring fruits developed by parthenocarpy
Senescence is the process by which plants age naturally. It is the stage from where the cells stop dividing and as such the tissue begins to experience gradual death and decay and this is a permanent process.
