Solution

Human excretory system

The human excretory system consists of organs that work sequentially to eliminate nitrogenous wastes from the body. It consists of two kidneys, two ureters, one urinary bladder, and a urethra.

Kidney

The kidneys are the primary excretory organs in vertebrates. These are two reddish-brown bean-shaped structures, about 5 inches long and weigh about 120 to170 grams.

Location

The kidneys are found along the posterior abdominal wall on either side of the backbone specifically between the last thoracic and third lumbar vertebra. The right kidney is slightly lower in comparison to the left kidney.
