Difference between cyst and pus ?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student.

A cyst is an abnormal, sac-like structure that develops on or in the body of any living organism. It has a distinct membrane and division compared to the nearby tissue. It may occur in animal body or plant body.

Pus is a thick yellowish or greenish liquid that is produced in infected tissue. It consists of white blood cells, cellular debris, and necrotic tissue. Pus is produced from the dead and living cells travel into the intercellular spaces around the affected cells. The cells that produce pus are called pus cells.

Regards.
