Solution
Introduction to tumors
Tumor is a structure resulting from the uncontrolled division of the cells.
There are two types of tumors, benign and malignant.
Location
Benign tumors are confined to the region of origin. Malignant tumors are located at different areas apart from the site of origin.
Severity
Benign tumor causes less damage as it is not cancerous. Malignant tumors are more severe and cancerous.
Metastasis
Benign tumors do not show metastasis.
Malignant tumors show metastasis where the cells get detached from the primary site of formation and travel to other regions of the body through body fluids.
