Question

From certain height two bodies are thrown horizontally with velocity 10m/s & 20m/s. They hit the ground in time t1 & t2, then find the relation between t1 & t2.

Open in App
Solution

The initial vertical velocity for both bodies is zero because they are thrown horizontally.
Now if we consider their vertical motion then it is similar to free fall because both have zero initial vertical velocity.
We know that for free fall the time taken in covering height H is given as 22H/g]
Now both of the bodies are thrown from same height, H so time t1=t2
