Garreau's potometer
demonstrates the unequal transpiration from the two surfaces of a dorsiventral leaf
Potometers do no measure the rate of transpiration but they measure the intake of water by the plants. Farmer's and Ganong's potometer helps to measure the rate of intake of water by the plant. Darwin's potometer demonstrates the suction force created due to transpiration. Garreau's potometer demonstrates the unequal transpiration from the two surfaces of a dorsiventral leaf.
