3. It causes several diseases in humans as well as other organisms.
4. Common cold to AIDS is caused by viruses.
5. Mumps and polio are also caused by microbes.
6. Diptheria, cholera, and typhoid are caused by bacteria.
7. Protozoa are responsible for malaria and sleeping sickness.
8. Certain roundworms and tapeworms also cause diseases like ascariasis, taeniasis, or filariasis.
