In the blind spot, where the optic nerves leave the eyes,
rods and cones are absent
Blind spot is a region at the back of the eye where the optic nerve exits the eye on its way to the brain. At this spot, no image is formed due to the absence of photoreceptor cells, i.e. rods and cones. It does not affect our vision too much because the other eye can see whatever falls in the blind spot of one eye which helps the brain form an image.
