The farm where the birds have been reared for the use of food or their eggs is known as a poultry farm.
Birds such as chicken and ducks are common and turkey and geese are often reared.
Vitamins are required in less in amounts but, the deficiency can hurt the birds.
The vitamins that are high in poultry feed are vitamin A and vitamin K.
Vitamin A:
Deficiency of vitamin A could affect the growth of the birds, bone development, movement, vision, and reproduction.
Loss of appetite and decreased growth rate followed by general weakness, and staggering gait are some early signs of vitamin A deficiency.
Vitamin K:
Vitamin K is an important factor for the synthesis of prothrombin. Therefore, plays an important role in the clotting of blood.
Deficiency of this vitamin can lead to the increase of blood spots in eggs, hemorrhages in the legs and breast, and a failure of blood clotting in birds.
