Nerve impulses are conducted more rapidly in myelinated fibres than in non-myelinated fibres

In myelinated fibers, the nerve impulse jumps from one node of Ranvier to other. Thus, it is faster. However, the impulse has to travel all along the non-myelinated fiber. It is a process of nerve cell body which conducts nerve impulses away from the cell body.
