Number of such four-digit numbers =2×6×6=72

Case 2: Let us fix first place as 4 and second place as 3
4 3 __ __
The third place can be filled in 3 ways (3,4,5) and the fourth place can be filled in 6 ways.
Number of such four-digit numbers =3×6=18

Case 3: Let us fix first place as 4, second place as 3 and third place as 2
4 3 2 __
The fourth place can be filled in 4 ways (2,3,4,5)
Number of such four-digit numbers =4
