Atherosclerosis:

  1. The disease of the heart in which blockage of arteries or narrowing occurs due to the deposition of fatty material such as cholesterol, and waste products (plaque) in the arteries.
  2. It reduces the supply of oxygen in body tissues.
  3. Sometimes the plaque breaks off and can lead to the formation of blood clots.
  4. Without treatment atherosclerosis can lead to heart failure and heart attack

Symptoms of atherosclerosis :

  1. Pain in the chest
  2. Pain in parts of the body where the artery is blocked due to the presence of plague
  3. Muscle weakness in legs due to poor blood circulation
  4. Shortness of breath
  5. Fatigue
