When a sperm containing X chromosome fertilises an egg containing X chromosome, female drosophila with XX constitution are produced. [0.5 mark]

When a sperm containing Y chromosome fertlises an egg containing X chromosome, male drosophila with XY constitution are formed. [0.5 Mark]
