What stimulates androgen production?

Androgen:

1. Androgen is the male sex hormone such as testosterone.
2. Androgen is required for the development of the male reproductive system and the expression of secondary sexual characteristics.
3. The organs involved in the regulation of androgen production are the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, testes, and adrenal glands

Stimulation for androgen production:

1. Adrenal androgen secretion is dependent on adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) which is secreted by the anterior pituitary gland.
2. Testicular androgen secretion is controlled by luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) which are released by the pituitary gland.
3. Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) regulates the secretion of FSH and LH.
4. GnRH is released by the hypothalamus.
