Solution
Reproduction
Reproduction is the process by which all living organisms produce their own kind and multiply in numbers.
There are two modes of reproduction:
Asexual reproduction: This kind of reproduction does not involve the fusion of gametes and only a single parent is required for it to take place.
Sexual reproduction: This kind of reproduction involves the fusion of gametes and only takes place if a male and a female parent are involved.
Human reproduction:
In humans asexual reproduction does not take place.
Instead, sexual reproduction involving the fusion of the male (sperm) and female (ovum) gamete occurs.
A male and a female parent is involved in human reproduction.
