Viruses are submicroscopic entities inhabiting host cells.

n 1898,
Martinus Beijerinck
named the filtered infectious particle “virus”, during one of his studies.
This discovery paved the way for the beginning of the stream of Virology.
Viruses are small non-cellular entities with one or more molecules of either RNA or DNA enclosed in a coat of protein.
They are non-living and reproduce only within the cells which are living and are obligate intracellular parasites.
