Tamilnadu Board Class 12 Results 2019

The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) was formed in 1975 with the responsibility of conducting the Board examinations for the students of Class 12. In the year 2011, The Government of Tamil Nadu established a new Board for School Examination in the name of State Board of School Examinations by merging the Board of Secondary Education and Board of Higher Secondary Examinations. Most of the students of Class 12 wait eagerly for the Tamil Nadu Board Class 12 Results, once the exams are over, as their marks are important for their entry to professional colleges.

This year, the board examinations were cancelled due to the pandemic. Students were analysed on the basis of their Classes 10 and 11 results, and on their internal evaluation of Class 12, including the practicals and internals. About 50% weight was given to the best of three performances in Class 10, about 20% to Class 11 scores and 30% to Class 12.

Nearly 8,16,473 students were declared pass in TN HSE Class 12 result in 2021. Around 8,18,129 students had registered in plus two this year. Close to 1,656 candidates were marked absent by the board. Overall, 39,679 students scored between 551-600 and 1,67,133 students achieved a score in the 501-550 marks bracket. As many as 2,22,522 students also scored between 451-500 marks. However, no student has secured full marks (600/600) this year.

Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu Public Exam Result 2020 was announced on 16th July 2020. The result was activated on tnresults.nic.in. The overall pass percentage for the 2020 Exam was 92.3%. Girls performed better than boys with an overall pass percentage of 94.8% and boys pass percentage was 83.41%. Among the districts, Tirupur topped with 97.12%, followed by Erode with 96.99% and Coimbatore with 96.39%. For the exams that year, around nine lakh students appeared for the TN HSE Exam 2020.

Students will need to secure 35 out of 100 marks in each subject to qualify for the examination. The examination was conducted from March 24 onwards. Some exams were disrupted due to the outbreak followed by the nationwide lockdown. In 2019, TN 12th Result 2019 was announced on April 19. A total of 8,42,512 have appeared for the examination and 7,69,225 had passed the examination. The overall pass percentage was 91.3 per cent and girls performed better than boys.

The Tamil Nadu Board sees over 8 lakh students appearing for their Class 12 HSE Examinations every year. The numbers dipped in 2020, when 7,79,931 students appeared for their Class 12 TN Board exams. In 2021, 8,16,473 students appeared, out of which all were declared successful.
