Solution

1 ) After you eat, your body breaks downfood during digestion, absorbs the nutrients, and distributes them to cells during assimilation. Assimilation gets the nutrients from your food to your cells where they are used for growth and repair.

The end result of carbohydrates is glucose that is converted into energy or stored as glycogen.

2)The small intestine absorbs mostdigested food molecules, as well as water and minerals, and passes them on to other parts of the body for storage or further chemical change. Specialized cells help absorbed materials cross the intestinal lining into the bloodstream.

3)Carbohydrates are sugar-based molecules, and the body can use some of them to produce glucose. Glucose becomes stored in the liver and muscles as glycogen, molecules that function as long-term energy storage that can be tapped into when needed (such as during a lengthy run).
