4 g of a mixture of Na2SO4 and anhydrous Na2CO3 were dissolved in pure water and volume made up to 250 mL. 20 mL of this solution required 25 mL of N/5 H2SO4 for complete neutralisation. Calculate the percentage composition of the mixture.

By applying normality formula,
N1V1=N2V2N1×20=0.2×25N1=0.25
In terms of molarity M1=N12=0.252=0.125M
If molar of Na2SO4=x142,Na2CO3=4x106
Now, total moles,
0.03125=x142+4x106=106x+568142x142×106
470.375=106x+568142x
97.625=36xx=97.62536=2.7
2.7g(MgSO4),(42.7)=1.3g(Ma2CO3)
