Here, u=20 cm and v=40 cm.

Thus, 1f=1u+1v=120 cm+140 cm
f=13.3 cm
The magnification ism=vu=40 cm20 cm=2
Thus, heho=2 he=2ho=2×2.0 cm=4.0 cm
The height of the image is 4.0 cm, and the negative sign of he shows that the image is inverted.
