The Velocity of the boat is $8 k m / h$
Resultant velocity $= 10 k m / h$
Let $V_{R B}$ is the resultant velocity of the boat with the river $V_{B}$ is the velocity of the boat $V_{R}$ is the velocity of the river,

So, $V_{R B} = \sqrt{V_{R}^{2} + V_{B}^{2}}$
$V_{R}^{2} = V_{A B}^{2} - V_{B}^{2} = 10^{2} - 8^{2} = 36$
