The horizontal distance travelled by a body projected from height h with horizontal velocity u is,

x=u2hg

which is independent of the mass.

So,

u1u2=x1x2×h2h1=x2x×2hh=12

(Given: x1=x ; x2=2x ; h1=h ; h2=2h ; u1=v)

Therefore, velocity of second body,

u2=u12=2v

Hence, option (C) is the correct answer.
