In a plane mirror, distance between the object and the mirror (Do) is equal to the distance between the image and the mirror (Di).
It is given that, Di= 6 m
Do =6 m.
When the boy moves 2 m towards the mirror, the distance between the boy and the mirror, Do=62=4 m
Let the distance between the mirror amd the image in the second situation be Di=Do=4 m
the distance between the boy and his image Do+Di=4+4=8 m
