Here v=40 cm/s = velocity of insect.
The angle θ=45 from any of the two adjacent walls.


Thus, the magnitude of velocity of image w.r.t insect will be,
vsin45(vsin45)
2vsin45=2×40×12=402 cm/s
Hence, in any of the two adjacent wall, the speed of image w.r.t insect is 402 cm/s.
