Question

A cuboidal water tank is 6 m long, 5 m wide and 4.5 m deep. How many litres of water can it hold?

Open in App
Solution

Dimensions of water tank,

l=6 m, b=5 m, h=4.5 m

We need to find the Capacity of cuboidal tank, first we need to find the Volume of Cuboidal tank.

Volume of Cuboidal tank (V)=lbh cubic units

V=6 m×5 m×4.5 m

V=135 m3

Since, 1 m3=1000 l

So, Capacity of cuboidal tank =135×1000 l

=135000 l

The tank can hold 135000 litres of water.
