The correct option is B 400 kg m/sec
Applying Newton's second law
ΣF=ma
or, F=ma
20=40×a a=0.5 m/s2
Since, acceleration is constant
Applying equation of motion
v=u+at
v=0+0.5×20 v=10 m/s
So, change in momentum is given by
ΔP=m(vu)=40(100)=400 kgm/s

Alternate solution:

Impulse J= Force × time
20×20=400 Ns
Impulse, J=ΔP=400 kg m/s
