A man buys lemons at $3$ for $R S 5$ and an equal number at $2$ for $R S 4$ . He mix them and sells $5$ for $R S 9$ . Find the gain percent or loss percent.

Cost of $x$ lemon at $3$ for $R s .5 = \frac{5 x}{3}$
Cost of $x$ lemon at $2$ for $R s .4 = \frac{4 x}{2} = 2 x$

Total cost price $= \frac{5 x}{3} + 2 x = \frac{11 x}{3},$

Total selling price of $2 x$ lemon $= \frac{18 x}{5},$

Total loss $= C . P . - S . P . = \frac{11 x}{3} - \frac{18 x}{5} \Rightarrow \frac{55 x - 54 x}{15} = \frac{x}{15}$

% Loss $= \frac{x}{15} \times \frac{3}{11 x} \times 100 = 1 \frac{9}{11}$ %.
