The correct option is A 15.5 sec
Time period of a pendulum is given by,
T=2πLg
Here, as the length changes, time period of the pendulum also changes, given by,
ΔTT=12(Δll).....(i)

Now, the length of the simple pendulum changes due to change in temperature, according to the relation,
Δll=α (Δθ).....(ii)

From (i) and (ii), we can write,
ΔTT=12α(Δθ)
As the temperature is decreasing, the pendulum will move faster, and the clock will gain time.

Time gained per unit time period =ΔTT
Time gained in 1 day =ΔTT×24×3600
=12α(Δθ)×24×3600
=12×1.2×105×30×24×3600
=15.55 sec

Hence, (A) is the correct answer.
