A person's eye is at a height of 1.5m. He stands in front of a 0.3m long plane mirror whose lower end is 0.8m above the ground. The length of the image he sees himself is?

Given Data:

Height of eye, h=1.5m

Length of mirror, l=0.3m

Height of mirror, h=0.8m

Step 1: Length of image:

Here, eyes of man different with top and bottom edge of mirror.

Hence, image will be twice the height of mirror irrespective of other measurements, =2×0.3m=0.6m

Therefore, the man sees 0.6m of himself in mirror.
