Persons suffering from very low blood pressure pass no urine due to acute renal failure. Ultrafiltration does not take place due to low pressure or absence of required filtration pressure.
If urine is not excreted, nitrogenous waste products will start accumulating in the body which may lead to death of a person. So these must be eliminated. Following preventive measures should be adopted in such a situation:
(i) The patient should use diuretic medicines.
(ii) The urine can be excreted from the body by hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
