Length of the train = 100 m.
Length of the bridge =400 m.
total distance needs to be covered S=Length of the train + length of the bridge = 100 m+400 m =500 m.
Speed of train = 72 $\frac{k m}{h}$ or 20 $\frac{m}{s} .$
Step 2: Formula.
$T i m e = \frac{D i s \tan c e}{s p e e d} .$
Step 3.Calculation of time.
$T i m e = \frac{D i s \tan c e}{s p e e d} .$
$T i m e = \frac{500 m}{20 \frac{m}{s}} .$
Time = 25 seconds .
Hence, the time taken to cross the bridge = 25 seconds.
