Solution

The correct option is C

1l

Given, area of base =200 cm2

height of container =20 cm

Volume of the container = (l×b)×h=a×h=200×20=4000cm 3

We know that 1000 cm3=1l,so the capacity of the tank is 4l

Water is filled to a height of 15cm

Volume of the tank in which water is filled =(l×b)×h=200×15=3000cm 3

Volume in which water is filled=3l

Amount of water to be added =Capacity of the container - Volume in which water is filled

= 43=1l

Amount of water to be filled to completely fill the container is 1l
