(b) State two ways in which the body shape of girls changes during puberty.

As the rate of general body growth slows down,reproductive tissues begin to mature,this period is called puberty.

Changes in girls at the time of puberty are:

1.Onset of the menstrual cycle

2.Breast size begins to increase,with darkening of skin of the nipples.

In males
1. Growh of thick hair appears on face armpits, face, chest and around the pubic area. Hair also grows on the legs.
2. Testosterone secretion is started leading to Voice changes,i.e. voice cracks.

In Females

1. Start of the menstrual cycle.
2. Enlargement of Breasts.
