The correct option is C 610 m
Since, the balloon is descending and a stone falls from it, the stone will be having same initial velocity as that of balloon i.e. u=12 m/s
a=g=9.8 m/s2,t=10 sec
From equation of motion we have,
S=ut+12at2
h=12×1012×9.8×(10)2
h=120490
h=610 m
h=610 m
Hence, displacement of stone is h=610 m
