. A taxi driver filled his car fuel tank with 45 litres of petrol on Monday. The next day again filled the tank with 35 litres of petrol. If the petrol costs Rs. 68 per litre, how much did he spend on petrol in two days? (Apply properties of whole numbers)

Litres of petrol he filled on monday : 45 L
Litres of petrol he filled on next day : 35 L
Cost of petrol : Rs 68 per L
Total litres = 45 L + 35 L
Total cost =Cost per litre * Total litres of petrol
= (45 + 35) * 68

= 45*68 + 35*68

= 3060 + 2380

= Rs 5440

Hence, the total cost of petrol is RS 5440.
