Question

A train passes over a 500m long bridge. If the speed of the train is 30m/s and the train takes 20 second to cross the bridge then the length of the train is how much...

Open in App
Solution

The total distance covered by the train in crossing the bridge is 500+Lm

And we know that distance=speed×time
distance=30x20
=600

So, 500+L=600
L=600-500
L=100m

where L is the length of the train.
