The correct option is C 10 cm
Initially the wooden cube was floating completely submerged with mass 200 g placed on it.

And removal of mass caused cube to float with top surface 2 cm above water level. This mean the weight of mass 200 g was balanced to buoyant force provided by 2 cm height of cube.


Let l be the cube length.

Hence, FB=200×103g

ρVg=200×103g

1000×l2×2×102=200×103

l2=100×104

l=10×102 m=10 cm.

So, option (c) is correct.
