  1. AIDS is a viral disease that is caused by HIV( Human immunodeficiency virus) which in turn adversely damages the body's immune system.
  2. It runs for along period of time that is why it is a Chronic disease.
  3. It is infectious one as it can be easily spread through air, water and direct personal contact.
  4. The causative agent HIV basically integrates into long-lived immune system cells ( memory cells in our body) and remain dormant in those cells for so many years. This is why there's no cure of treating AIDS have been found so far.
