Question

an object after travelling in uniform motion for some time , takes a U turn,and traces back its path,with the same constant speed but in opposite direction,will the total motin b uniform motion(bcz we said uniform motion is equal distances(and not displacement) in equal time intervals)

Solution

In a uniform motion, The body travels at a constant speed
here, speed is constant so it is a uniform motion
speed = distance/time
distance = speed x time
with constant speed, any object always travel an equal distance in equal time
let a example
let speed is 5 m/s
at time t=1, distance=speed x time= 5x 1= 5m
at time t=2, distance=5 x 2=10m
at time t=3, distance =5 x 3=15m
here we can see at every time interval distance is 5 m
so, it is uniform motion.
