The correct option is B 7 Total number of chairs = 1655
Number of rows = 16
Number of chairs in a row = total number of chairs ÷ number of rows
= 1655 ÷ 16
Expressing 1655 as the sum of the place values of each digit = 1000 + 600 + 50 + 5
Using division by partial quotients,
Quotient = 60 + 40 + 3 + 0 = 103
Remainder = 7
