Are gymnosperms edible?

Gymnosperms:

1. Gymnosperms refer to vascular plants in which ovules are not enclosed inside the ovary wall.
2. They do not produce flowers or fruits. Instead, they have unisexual cones.
3. Some gymnosperms are edible.
4. Pinus edulis produces edible seeds that are commonly known as pine nuts.
5. Cycas species also possess edible seeds. Example: Cycas revoluta, Dioon edule.
