Open in App
Solution
Monocotyledons:
Plants whose embryos contain a single embryo.
They have a fibrous root system.
Example- Grass, wheat, corn, etc.
Vascular bundles:
The xylem and phloem are the complex tissues that constitute the vascular bundles.
In dicotyledonous stems- cambium is present between xylem and phloem.
In monocotyledons- lack of cambium between xylem and phloem.
Therefore, vascular bundles are closed in monocotyledons.
