Solution

Ovulation:

  1. Ovulation is a process in which the ovum is released from the ovary of a human female.
  2. Luteinizing hormone (LH) secreted by the pituitary gland plays a vital role in ovulation.
  3. At the onset of puberty, the primary oocyte (2n) undergoes the first meiotic division and develops into a secondary oocyte (n).
  4. The ovum is released from the ovary in the secondary oocyte stage. The Graafian follicle ruptures and releases the secondary oocyte.
