In the process of electroplating, the deposition of layers of one metal takes place on the other material.

In this process, the material on which the coating is to be done is connected as an electrode to the negative terminal, and the metal that is used for the deposition is connected to the positive terminal.

In this case, Avinash wants to add a zinc coating on the copper plate. So, the zinc plate has to be connected to A, i.e., the positive terminal and the copper plate has to be connected to the negative terminal, i.e., B.
