Can lymph nodes hurt?

Lymph Nodes:

1. They are specialized masses of tissue that filter lymph before returning it to the blood.
2. They are located along the lymphatic system pathways & play an essential role in fighting against infections.
3. Swelling in the lymph nodes can occur due to viruses or bacteria and can hurt upon touching or movement.
4. Example- Swollen lymph nodes in the jaw can hurt while chewing food or any head movement.
