Solution

Regeneration:

  1. Regeneration can be defined as the process of replacement or restoration of damaged body parts, tissues, or organs in animals and plants.
  2. In organisms with simpler body structures, regeneration can lead to the formation of a whole new individual. For example, Planaria.
  3. Complex organisms having a multicellular body cannot give rise to a new whole individual because their body consists of specialized tissues and cells.
  4. Their body consists of organizations at different levels that work together in a coordinated manner.
  5. They have the capacity to regenerate their body parts like the liver cells, skin, muscle tissues, blood cells, etc. However, They are not capable of producing new complex individuals.
